Oculoplastic Surgery
Oculoplastic surgeons perform procedures such as the repair of droopy eyelids, repair of tear duct obstructions, orbital fracture repairs, removal of tumors in and around the eyes, eyelid reconstruction and facial rejuvenation procedures including laser skin resurfacing, eye lifts, brow lifts, and facelifts.
We are pleased to have Dr. Howard Beale, a Board Certified ophthalmic surgeon who specializes in surgery on eyelids, tear ducts and orbital (eye) bones, provide services at our clinic. Among the many surgical services offered by Dr. Beale are:
- Blepharoplasty (droopy eyelids)
- Entropion repair (lid turning inward causing scratchy sensation and corneal abrasions)
- Ectropion repair (lid turning outward causing tearing and redness)
- Surgical removal of benign and malignant lid lesions
- Cosmetic procedures of upper and lower lids
- Surgical repair of congenital lid and orbital bone defects
- Tear duct reconstruction
Dr. Beale has been in practice since 1973 and served for 21 years as Chief of Service, Oculoplastic Surgery, Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He has trained over 100 general eye surgeons and has performed more than 41,000 ophthalmic surgical procedures. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons.
